Apple’s marketing head hints that iPhone 15 will come with USB Type-C

New Delhi. Apple may soon start shipping its iPhones with USB Type-C charging port. Till now the company used to ship iPhone models with a Lightning port, which makes its device in-compatible with USB Type-C charger. It is being used by most of the smartphone companies these days. In such a situation, it is believed that the USB Type-C port can be found in the Apple iPhone 15 and its upgraded model. However, the company has not yet officially announced the Type-C port.

Meanwhile, Apple’s marketing head Greg Joswiak has said that we will have to comply with the new rules of the European Union regarding the coming of USB Type-C port in the upcoming iPhone. We don’t have any other option. However, the company is not happy with this at all and e-waste will also increase rapidly. During this, he declined to comment on when Apple will switch to the Type-C port.

iPhone 15 may get Type-C port
It is worth noting that in the details shared by Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter earlier this month, it was said that the iPhone 15, which will be launched in late 2023, will get a Type-C port. This will be the first iPhone model to ship with a USB Type-C port. Let us tell you that the European Union introduced a new rule in early October, giving a setback to the tech companies, under which all smartphone makers companies will have to provide USB Type-C port for charging in their devices from 2024.

Common charger policy may be implemented in India
At the same time, according to some media reports, the rule of common charger can be implemented soon in India. These Apple devices get USB Type-C port
Notably, Apple’s iPhone 15 will not be the first device to come with a USB-C port. The company has already started shipping Apple Macs, several iPad tablets and accessories with USB Type-C ports. It is expected that from 2023, the company will include universal charging port in the iPhone 15, charging case for entry-level iPad and AirPods.
