New Delhi. Bengaluru-based EV start-up Ola Electric has announced that the company has launched its 1 lakhth electric scooter from its all-women-run Futurefactory located in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The EV maker started mass production in late November last year and managed to achieve the feat in just 10 months. Ola Electric’s current product portfolio includes the S1 Air, S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters.
Speaking on this achievement Bhavish Aggarwal said, “Since starting our journey towards electrification of India, we have unlocked the potential of EVs in our country by providing customers with a much better product and experience than any other . This achievement is just the beginning.”

It is worth noting that Ola Electric has sold 20,000 electric scooters in India in October 2022, which is the highest number among all EV manufacturers. This sale of Ola is 60 percent more than last month.

Company increasing capacity in factories
Introducing the new S1 Air electric scooter before Diwali last month, Agarwal had said that in the next six to eight months, we can fully exploit the existing installed capacity, but are also increasing the capacity in future factories.
