Facebook update: Facebook users will be able to share public events in Instagram Story

New Delhi. Meta has released a new update for Facebook. This update brings new features for Facebook Groups. The company announced new features for Facebook Groups at the sixth edition of the Facebook Communities Summit. After the arrival of the new update, users will now be able to connect with the community in a better way. With this, the content can be easily shared across all the apps of Meta. These features will allow users to share reels and videos with their community through the group.

Facebook says Reels will enable group members to share information and better connect with group members. Apart from this, with the help of the feature available in the new update, group admins and members can also add creative elements like audio, text overlay and filters to the video before sharing it on Facebook.

Public events can be shared on Instagram Story
After the new update comes, Facebook users will also be able to share the public event in Instagram Story. The new feature will inform group members about Facebook public events via Instagram Story. About this, Facebook wrote in one of its blog posts that whether you are a group admin or a group member. This feature will help your stories get exposed to a wider community. Meta further said that it has started testing several new features for Facebook users. The purpose of these updates is to deepen the connection between group members for users.

customize about me
The first feature that Meta has tested. That’s about me customizing. Facebook says group members will soon be able to customize the information they want to share with their community in their About Me section. The company says that this feature will help both admins and members to know more about each other.

Apart from this, Meta has started testing the message indicator feature. This is an indicator that will appear with the profile of the users. This feature will enable group members to know whether other users of the group are willing to join the shared content.

Meta is testing a feature for group admins and moderators to send one-way communication to all members without activating chat messages. This allows them to stay up to date with important information coming into the group. Meta further said that it is building a feature that will connect with group members available in more than 140 countries globally.
