New Delhi. Gold-Silver Price Today: Gold fell by Rs 161 to Rs 53,235 per 10 grams in the bullion market of the national capital on Thursday amid a weak global trend. HDFC Securities gave this information. In the previous trading session, gold had closed at Rs 53,396 per 10 grams. Silver also declined by Rs 1,111 to Rs 61,958 per kg.

Navneet Damani, Senior Vice President, Commodities Research, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, said easing of geopolitical concerns and an aggressive stance on interest rates by the US Federal Reserve in the coming months will impact the demand for safe-haven bullion. Gold declined on expectations of a softening.

Gold fell in the international market
In the international market, gold declined to USD 1,770.05 an ounce, while silver declined to USD 21.32 an ounce. Dilip Parmar, research analyst at HDFC Securities, said, “Gold prices declined on Comex following a rise in US bond yields following better-than-expected economic data.”
