Google Chrome support will end for these operating systems, are you not using them?

New Delhi. Google will end support for Chrome support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 in early 2023. According to the Google support page, Google will release the final version of Chrome for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 sometime next year. The new version 110 of Chrome is expected to roll out on 7 February 2023 next year. The new version will be the last version to support both the older Microsoft operating systems.

Let us tell you that Windows 7 was first released in 2009 and Microsoft officially ended support for it in 2020. However, as per the data the operating system is still running on a lot of devices. Recently this number was estimated to be at least 100 million.

According to the support page, Chrome will continue to work on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 after version 110. But, it will not get any updated version in future. The page states that if you are currently on Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, we suggest you upgrade them as soon as possible. This will allow you to receive security updates for your operating system and take advantage of the latest Chrome features and security improvements.

Microsoft will also end support
Meanwhile, Microsoft has also announced that it will end support for Windows 7 Extended Security Update (ESU) and Windows 8.1 on January 10, 2023. Microsoft has said that for the time being computers running Windows 8.1 will continue to work, but the company will not provide any kind of technical support for this.
