New Delhi. Meta-owned social media platform Instagram is reportedly testing a new feature that will allow users to add a featured song to their profile page. The song will reportedly appear on the profile page below the user’s bio. The screenshot posted by the tipster also shows that visiting users will not be allowed to play the song shown on the profile page.
In this regard, an Instagram spokesperson confirmed that this feature is currently an internal prototype. However, the reported feature is not being tested externally. The feature that allows users to add a feature song to their Instagram profile was first spotted in prototype testing by developer and tipster Alessandro Paluzzi. He shared the screen of the feature on Twitter.
Song will be added by going to edit profile section
According to Paluzzi, the feature in internal testing is visible after the link in the bio section of the Instagram profile. The developer demonstrated this feature by adding a song to his profile. He told that users can add the song in the edit profile section of their profile.
