Voting for MCD elections will be held on December 4. Meanwhile, the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi has appealed to the people regarding the MCD elections through a message.

It has been said in the message, “If you have attained the age of 18 years by January 1, 2023, then check your name in the voter list. Use VHA app or call 1950, fill Form-6 immediately if your name is missing and become a Proud Voter – By CEO Delhi.”

Delhi State Election Commission launched the theme song
Meanwhile, the Delhi State Election Commission (Delhi SEC) has launched a theme song to make voters aware of the civic polls to be held on December 4. Officials gave this information on Sunday. SEC is running multimedia voter awareness campaign through radio, TV, social media, outdoor media and newspapers to motivate them to increase the voting percentage.

voter awareness campaign intensified
In a statement, the commission said that in order to ensure maximum voter participation in the upcoming elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, the commission has intensified its voter awareness campaign. SEC has also launched a campaign theme song with the tag line ‘Respect democracy, let us vote’. Apart from this, 50 auto-rickshaws with awareness messages were flagged off by the Commission. It has been said in the statement that the voter awareness campaign is being intensified by the commission to educate and motivate the voters.

MCD election results will come on December 7
Voting for the MCD elections will be held on December 4 and counting will be done on December 7. In the last civic polls held in 2017, the BJP had won 181 wards, while the AAP had won 48. Congress could win only 27 seats.
