New Delhi. Samsung India has sold mobile phones worth Rs 14,400 crore in the Indian market in September-October. The company’s smartphone sales have increased by 99 percent in the first three quarters of the year 2022. Aditya Babbar, Senior Director and Head of Product Marketing, Samsung India gave this information on Friday. He said that in the period from January to September 2022, sales of 5G smartphones have seen an increase of 178 percent on a year-on-year basis.
He further said that Samsung India has made record sales in this festive season. Samsung has sold Rs 14400 crore in 60 days starting 1st September. Babar said that this year’s festive season has seen double digit growth as compared to last year’s festive season.

Apart from this, the company has also said that it will release software updates for all its 5G phones by November 15. Let us know that most of the company’s phones have already started supporting 5G services.
Premium segment phones are being sold
He has also told that in the period July-September 2022, the premium segment has registered a growth of 99 percent in sales of more than Rs 30,000. Babar further said that Samsung is the fastest growing premium segment brand in India. The company’s S22 and Fordable phones are selling more in the premium segment.
Samsung India’s second largest smartphone retailer According to the latest report by Counterpoint Research, Samsung is the second largest smartphone retailer in India. The company had a market share of 18 per cent in the July-September quarter. The company also claims that in the 9 months of the year 2022, the company’s overall mobile phone business saw a growth of 20 percent and the company’s market share in terms of revenue is 22 percent.
