New Delhi. Keeping in view the timetable of Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express, Western Railway has changed the timing of 25 trains. The officers provided this information. The trains whose timings have been changed include the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express and its timetable has been changed between Vapi and Ahmedabad railway stations in Gujarat, the release said on Tuesday. It says, “The timings of many trains will be changed due to the running of 20901/02 Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express.”

Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, said that only a few minutes have been changed in the timing of the train and the new timetable will be effective in the next few days. Thakur said that this has been done to make train operations smooth.

Changes made in the timings of these trains
According to the release, Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Gujarat Superfast Express, Howrah-Ahmedabad Superfast Express, Bandra Terminus-Gorakhpur Humsafar Express, and Bandra Terminus-Ramnagar Superfast Express are some of the trains whose timings have been changed. The indigenously designed and manufactured semi-high speed Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the Gujarat capital on September 30 this year and commercial operations were started the next day.

Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high speed train introduced by the Indian Railways on several routes to reduce travel time between important cities in India. So far, trains have been inaugurated on five strategic routes, all inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These trains have been considered important for the government and passengers.

Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated South India’s first Vande Bharat train on Mysore-Chennai route on 12th November during his visit to Bengaluru. Let us tell you that the top speed of Vande Bharat Express is claimed to be 180 km per hour (as achieved in the trial run), most of these trains are yet to reach their top speed.
