New Delhi. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a notification on Tuesday regarding the new rules, according to which only those channels will be allowed to be included in the bouquet, whose MRP is Rs 19 or less. Under the latest amendments in its New Tariff Order (NTO) released on Tuesday, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) also said that a broadcaster can charge a maximum of 45% while pricing its channel bouquet on the sum of MRP of all pay channels. Can give discount. Till now only 33 per cent exemption is given.

Please tell that TRAI has changed the new Tariff Order NTO 2.0 on Tuesday. TRAI has issued Telecom Service Tariff Order, 2022 and Telecom Service Interconnection Regulation, 2022. According to this new rule, channels costing less than Rs 19 will be included in the bouquet. Please tell that these rules will be applicable from 1 February 2023.

Time till 16 December
TRAI said that the MRP of a pay channel will be based on the discount given by the broadcaster as well as the joint membership of that channel in the bouquet. According to the information, all broadcasters will report channel name, language, MRP per month of channels and bouquet of channels and any change in MRP by 16 December 2022. Apart from this, all the information will also have to be uploaded on its website.

You have to pay only for those channels which you want to watch.
That is, from next year you will pay only for those channels which you want to watch. Earlier you had to take the complete package for some channels which had nothing to do with the rest of the channels but had to pay for all. Now the customers will pay only for the selected bouquet or channels themselves. Indian Broadcasting and Digital Foundation President K.K. Madhavan told that all this has been done with the cooperation of NTO 2.0 industry and TRAI.
